The Boys and Girls Club of Edinburg RGV in Texas and The Luis Sottil Foundation celebrated an inspiring evening of hope hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Byron Lewis at the private art gallery of the Edwards Abstract and Title Company.

Over 250 art enthusiasts and collectors gathered in support of the more than 940 young members who attend the club daily where they receive the encouragement to dream big and become influential members of our community.

With an amazing high school graduation rate of 96% among its members, the club has become a leading example of what can be done when we unite in support of our youth.

The Hearts of Hope that Sottil painted and posted on this page this last Valentine’s Day, were auctioned live in the presence of the five inspiring kids who painted their hopes and dreams of what they want to become later on in life inside of each heart.

We can say with a grateful heart that we are simply moved by the extraordinary effort of everyone who made this event possible.

The live and silent auction of Sottil’s works raised over $40,000 in support of this noble cause. We invite you to view the short video (in the link below) of Sottil’s painting session which was played to the crowd at the beginning of the live auction.

Sottil strongly believes that what defines the character of our society, more than anything else, is how we nurture the enthusiasm of our youth, so they never lose sight of the victory of their dreams in order that they may prosper and conquer.
